Australian Bottle & Collectables Review The bible of bottle collecting in Australia, over more than 30 years (in various guises and with several different editors) this magazine has been a mainstay of the hobby.2. Lancaster Auctions Australia's biggest and best specialist bottle auction house. Lancaster's also conduct other collectable and antique auctions on a regular basis throughout the year. 3. Bottleguide Website featuring a price guide of Australian found bottles. Now with over 7000 (as at February 2008) individual items listed. Lots of in depth articles as well. Note however that this is a subscription site. 4. Australiana & Collectables Auction and sales house who conduct several live and postal auctions each year. High quality catalogues are a feature that in themselves have become a sought after reference for all sorts of collectable fields. 5. Australian Antique Bottle Website Simon Cronk's excellent site devoted to all things bottles but with a particular focus on Internal Threads and Cordials. The site has a nice, easy to use design and the high quality bottle pictures are a stand out. 6. Antique Bottle, Ceramic & Collectables Club of Sydney Plenty of interesting material available on the Sydney website but why not join, get the monthly newsletter and keep up to date with all the latest happenings on the Sydney collecting scene? 7. Australian Antique Bottle Forum If you have even a passing interest in bottles you need to register here. Plenty of great discussion on bottles and related issues and a huge library of pictures. Got a question on bottles? You are likely to find the answer from someone here. 8. The Bottle Depot A great site put together by Paul Beaty in South Australia. Largely devoted to SA bottles but with plenty of other stuff as well including insulators. 9. Old Fizz Bottles Want to know about Codd bottles and their history in Australia? Then Peter Coleman's site is for you. (Lots of other information as well I should add!). 10. The Aussie Bottle Collectors Brand New (as at April 2008) Australian website on bottle collecting. Excellent addition to the collecting world with focus on several key categories of bottle collecting. International1. BBR Magazine With the advent of the internet, bottle collecting has become truly international and BBR is now, more than ever, essential reading for those wishing to stay up to date with what is going on in the world of collecting.2. Antique Bottle Collector - UK Great full colour magazine from Britain lots of high class pictures of the latest finds and brilliant in depth articles for collectors everywhere. |
