Feature Item:

Amber Glass Gippsland Hop Bitters. Winged hand holding bottle with Health, Purity emanating.

Thomas Trood began as an aerated water and cordial manufacturer in Sale around 1872. By the early 1880s he had come up with his recipe for Gippsland Hop Bitters which quickly became popular throughout Victoria. This popularity led Trood to move to Melbourne where he continued in the aerated water trade as well as continuing the manufacture of Gippsland Hop Bitters. The bottle itself is very rare in this colour as most found are aqua.

Past Feature Items:
#1. Walter Burns, 13oz All Way Pour Marble Bottle.
